Our Story: A Special Place to Share
Peak View Retreat began in 2018, when my husband Carl and I bought this extraordinary mountain-top property in the beautiful Nelson region of New Zealand.
Set across 88 hectares of primarily native forest, with breathtaking 360-degree views in every direction, we were captivated by the beauty, privacy and sense of peace this special place offered. From the first light of sunrise to the last glow of sunset, the ever-changing landscape makes this a place unlike anywhere else.
Together, we set about bringing our vision to life - creating a luxury retreat that celebrates its remarkable surroundings while offering guests a place to truly unwind. We wanted the interiors to feel calm and understated, with natural light, expansive glass windows and doors, and a seamless connection to the landscape beyond.
For us, Peak View Retreat is about more than a beautiful place to stay. It's about stepping away from the everyday, slowing down and enjoying the simple pleasures of time together, whether that's relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying the sauna, wandering through the surrounding bush or simply taking in the views.
Although wonderfully secluded, the retreat is within reach of Nelson and Marlborough, offering the best of both worlds: a private mountain-top sanctuary and the opportunity to explore this beautiful part of New Zealand.
We feel incredibly fortunate to call this special place home, and we're delighted to share it with our guests.
